Oh my god, this is such a beautiful hurt/comfort story.

After the war, Harry feels there's something wrong with him, so he checks himself into St Mungo’s, though nobody seems to find what's wrong with him. A short while after, Draco is cursed, and the only room to provide security for a treatment for Draco's curse is Harry's.

That's such a simplified version of what this story is about, because we see Harry taking the chance and offering Draco comfort from the pain of the curse that cuts him open, and we see Draco trying to coax Harry into opening up about what's really wrong with him, we see them pushing each other and then backing off, giving each other the space they need, we see them cherishing each other's presence and the understanding they find in one another grow into something beautiful.

It's heart-aching, but it heals, too. Beautiful.

Title: All Life is Yours to Miss

This story is amazing. It's got Harry and Draco as teachers at Hogwarts. It starts with Harry playing a prank on Draco, turning his eyebrows red, Gryffindor red, in retaliation Draco plays another one on Harry, but this one goes horribly wrong combined with another spell, which leaves Harry immobilised for months. Sort of like a Petrificus Totalus, if you will, and so Draco has to take over Harry's responsibilities, classes and extra obligations.

It's truly amazing, because even though Harry spends much of the story immobile, we get to see Draco change, we learn his frustrations, his vulnerabilities, but we also see him grow, open himself to life and live it, really live it. He visits Harry constantly, he talks him, it's easier while Harry is quiet and still, and Draco, behind this safety of Harry's motionless and silent form, he sort of lets himself go, he talks about his life and fears and new experiences while taking over Harry's duties, but never forgetting about that silent person whom he know is listening.

He falls in love, not just with the idea of Harry he has, because he has got to know Harry as well, as impossible as it sounds he does get to know him, because now that Harry is laying on a bed, motionless it's like Draco can truly see him, beyond all the noise and preconceptions, you know? And when Harry wakes up, their whole dynamic, their relationship, is different. It's fond and full of admiration, and damn it if it's not the sweetest prelude to the love story that it unfolds.

It's very rich in characters and details and scenes that will steal your heart. It's absolutely brilliant. And you're going to love Stanley (Draco's beetle pet) and much as you'll love Harry and Draco.

I think this is the first time I read a character death story and it leaves me with a huge smile on my face and makes me feel everything is right in the world, leave me with such a sense of peace.

I'm always wary of reading these "Voldemort Wins" scenarios, but this story is so beautiful, it's probably like nothing you're expecting. It's filled with such a sense of hope rather than despair all through it you will feel it in your heart.

You can't quite know it from the warnings and the summary, but this story is not about death, it's about hope and life and the future, it's a story about love that goes beyond mortality.

The summary gives you a very good idea of what the plot of the fic is about, but the writing that brings it to life has so much feeling, beautiful in its intensity and so sexy and lovely that you'll meet two people who bring the best in each other, the best of their humanity. Let this story surprise you, people. It's gorgeous.

I cannot believe I haven't recced this story before, because it's one of my absolute favourite fics in the whole world.

It's not only hot as hell, it's so emotional and intense as well.

After a one-night stand, which Harry believed to be more, Draco reveals he's getting married. Harry never quite forgot his night with Draco, but life went on. Then one day Draco has an accident, which Harry witnessed, and Draco's wife and unborn child died. Draco after seeing Harry there blames him, and that's when Harry truly decided to move on with his life.

But a while after Draco sends Harry an Owl asking him to meet, just to talk. Harry agrees and discovers he was never past Draco as he thought. From then on they discover together new ways to be together, to love and make love.

This is such a superficial description of such an amazing story. If you're squicked by watersports or think you are, I assure this story is nothing like you're thinking, it will surprise you in its tenderness and how insanely hot it is. This author even admitted this might be the hottest thing she ever wrote, and if you know her you know what she means.

It's a pleasure to read in every way.

Title: Remind You What You Did When You Wake

This is such a powerful story, one of those high-impact fics that stays with you for a long time.

Harry and Ron have been captured by Death Eaters, Lucius Malfoy chief among them. They torture and violate them, both mentally and physically, and Draco, he's there too, but he's a spy, yet, he is coerced into torturing Harry, but as he does this, he opens his mind to Harry, letting Harry know how much he hates doing this, how sorry he is.

Eventually though Harry and Ron escape and defeat Voldemort, and I know I'm rushing here, and you'll have to forgive me because this 'eventually' covers Draco and Snape playing a huge part of it, with Draco actively keeping them alive during their captivity. But even after all this happened, that connection of the mind that Draco opened for Harry didn't close, and so Harry and Draco are bonding in a way, Harry has complete access to Draco's every thought.

Now, that the war is over and won, you have to remember that Harry and Draco are both very damaged and traumatised by what they did and suffered, yet, they have this link, a kinship of sorts, and are living together, trying to live past what happened.

It's not easy, it's not easy with Draco's growing feelings for Harry, which he practically shouts at Harry constantly without even meaning to, his desire, his want, and Harry's reactions to them, because part of him, a huge part of him can't forget what happened while he was a prisoner of the Death Eaters, but an even bigger part of him wants to forgive Draco, too.

It's a great story, intense and powerful, and I know it comes with some pretty strong warnings, but if you only give this story a chance, you're not going to regret it. It's pretty amazing, this fic is.

This is such a lovely hurt/comfort story.

Harry was injured in the line of duty and he's lost the use of his wand hand. Draco specialises on this therapy and helps Harry, not only on a physical level but on an emotional level as well.

Your heart will ache for Harry, because he's trying so hard, but Draco is there for him, pushing him in all the right ways yet at the same time being the comfort Harry needs. Really lovely the way this author always delivers.

This is a lovely story. Draco is a potions' addict, Felix Felicis, of all things, and Harry, Healer in training, is working at St. Mungos, and during his rotation on the addicts' ward, he'll be in charge of Draco's rehabilitation.

This is Draco painful journey to recovery, from his denial to even having a problem to his sad acceptance and finally admitting he needs help. And Harry is there for him, in every step of the way, willing Draco to see he is more than the sum of his mistakes, offering him a second chance.

But it's funny and sweet too, because even though they bicker all the time, they find relief in one another, they truly get to know each other. Draco's vulnerable moments are amazing, and Harry clumsy as he is at these emotional times, always knows what to tell him, how to comfort him.

Lovely and very emotional.

Title: Watching for a Sign

I love bond stories, but long before I realised this was a bonding!fic I knew this story was going to be lovely.

Draco, in an effort to cover his Dark Mark, gets a tattoo over it, however, as the days pass he is more and more pain until it becomes excruciating, and it's only Harry's touch that brings comfort.

It's very sweet the way their feelings develop, how they settle into a routine while being in such proximity, how they bicker and joke and fall in love. Hurt/Comfort all the way.

After several days with no recs I thought I'd bring you something to make it up for. I took this story with me to read while being away and it was the best story I could have chosen.

I've seen this story recced a lot, but I was a bit wary of it due to the length, but trust me, you needn't to be afraid to get your hands on this fic, it's super entertaining.

Even though it's a war fic, and it all happens in the summer after HBP you'll be surprised by how light it is (as opposed to dark and gloomy), and I don't mean it doesn't have a plot, it does, and it's amazing, to watch Harry finally take the place of active leader of the Light side. And it all starts with Draco showing up at the Dursleys with a child on his arms, and with this comes a series of secrets Harry has to keep, regarding Draco, then all of the Malfoys, Snape, the Horcruxes, and many more, but I can't stress enough how much fun you're going to have joining Harry in this journey.

Harry and Draco are great together, they come to understand and love each other like we all love to read, they still argue (it wouldn't be them if they didn't) but it's in a fond, full of love sort of way, and they become each other support. Draco becomes to person Harry finds solace when things are about to get too much, and he allows himself to be happy with him, and it's the same for Draco. They are protective of each other.

The issues and problems Harry and Harry and Draco face, these do not drag endlessly. I feel the need to state this because you might think the troubles they face might go on and on due to the length but they don't. It's like there's always a new adventure just about that they brave together.

The characters that are part of the story, Remus, Narcissa, Ron, Hermione, are lovely written. The person who recced me this story was in love with Fred and George on this fic and with reason because they are brilliant here, but to me, well, Snape stole my heart, as he becomes a mentor to Harry and honestly, even if you don't like Snape, I think he'll grow on you on this story. He grew on me, that's for sure.

It's fantastic, and no wonder it's a classic on this fandom, this ship. If you haven't read it because of the length, don't let it scare you, like I said, it's super entertaining and will fly by.

This story, this story is amazing. I think everybody has recced already, and you know what? It's everything you've read it promised it and then some more.

It makes you think, who is truly fearless? Is it the one who doesn't feel afraid any more, the one who is facing his fears, or is it the one who is afraid, but he keeps going regardless?

It's meaningful, it's sweet, it's emotional, but it's so funny at parts too. It's going to make you laugh, loudly. And I don't mean "oh, that's funny!" kind of funny, I mean a spontaneous burst of delight accompanied with a mirthful sound.

Yet, so emotional your heart is going to be gripped and then melt. And sexy. Sexy sex, sexy kissing, sensual longing. It's a joy, watching Harry discover himself, be elated and brought down by sorrow. But do not despair. There's a moment, half way through, maybe even closer to the ending when you will be fearful, but do not worry, remember, there are no warnings on this fic. You're absolutely safe to read it and enjoy it, and you will. Boy, you will because this story is simply delightful from beginning to end.

This is a very melancholy story. I love how slow paced it is, and it's been recently completed!

Harry's gone missing, he left Draco a month ago without an explanation, but the story begins with Harry turning up on his doorstep, obviously distressed.

He's pregnant and scared. Male pregnancy is uncommon and dangerous in the Wizarding World, and this story is about their life as they face the decision to keep the baby, to be together and build a future as a family.

It's beautifully written, everything by this author is. A bit angsty, it's true, but it's such an emotional ride, you'll love every step of the way.

Title: Secret Heart

This is such a fluffy, cute fic. Harry is a tiger Animagus, but he has troubles changing back, so each time he transforms, he has to spend some time with the only other tiger Animagus in Britain: Draco.

And it's so sweet, because Draco is absolutely enamoured with Harry the tiger, and in love with Harry the man. But Harry, apparently, doesn't ever remember his stay with him after he transforms back to human. Or does he?

This is one of the most touching stories I've ever read.

In a world devastated after the war, the Drain of Magic, and magical epidemics, Draco is a Social Worker. Harry simply went missing, after a ritual that would help to destroy Voldemort, but caused countless deaths and drained of magic to all witches and wizards.

I simply can't describe how dramatic this fic is. It's going to grip your heart from the very beginning, and it's going to squeeze it little by little until you feel it's going to break. But it's such a gorgeous story, finding comfort under these circumstances, and from the most unlikely sources. It has a beautiful, hopeful ending.

This is such a lovely story. It's the Harry and Draco version of Beauty and the Beast. And it's gorgeous. Everything works perfectly on this story; Harry's self imposed exile after he finds out of his curse, the way Draco comes back and has to stay with Harry without knowing it's Harry who saved him, without knowing it's Harry who he's been spending time with, the talking furniture, Gods, the way the story is being told. Everything is perfect and beautiful.
