This story is fantastic. Seriously. It's incredibly touching and beautiful. As the summary says, Harry is injured during an Auror raid and now the life he loved, the life he enjoyed, the life he dreamt for himself is no longer possible, at least that's what he thinks.

He sinks in to a deep depression and Hermione, desperate to help, seeks Draco, who is now a Healer with also a Muggle degree who specialises in physiotherapy, and he's the best, so really, it is Harry's best and last chance.

Harry doesn't take this news -- that Draco is his new doctor and will be moving in for the duration of his treatment -- very well. Well, that's an understatement. But really, Draco is the best, and soon Harry's progress start to show and little by little they work together, toward maybe giving Harry his life back, to Harry finding himself again.

But of course isn't easy, because it's them, they have a whole history and they fall in love, which is, at the same time amazing and complicated.

It's truly a journey, not just Harry's physical recovery, but also realising he can be and is loved, that he doesn't have to do things alone, that people want to be there for him and it's OK to let them, to forgive them and most important to forgive himself. And Draco, falling in love with this amazing man and being scared of what it means, afraid of all the unethical reasons why their relationship might not work. It's gorgeous, really.

This fic, wow, well, it's epic. :D

Draco is a biomagicolost, he specialises in magical implants as a tool for biomagical stabilisation in ill wizards (this is actually from the fic, and wow, doesn't it sound so interesting??). He's been living in France since after the war, quite happy, but now the Ministry is requiring his services for a very delicate and special case: Harry Potter.

This is how we learn that Harry's been on treatment back at home with a team of Unspeakables, Hermione among them. But what they tried on Harry didn't work as they predicted and now Draco is pretty much the best (and only) option to help and cure Harry, who right now can't perform magic without being a danger to others and himself. And bear in mind Harry is a high profile individual in which many Ministry affairs rely on.

Finally Draco agrees to treat him and he comes back home. A home he shares with Pansy and Greg, and now also one Harry Potter.

It's brilliant to see Draco studying Harry's case, finding a patter and a treatment for Harry, and more so, seeing realise that maybe Harry's problems aren't only physical.

You have to read it because I'm kind of doing a bad job at explaining properly how so very cool and brilliant this fic truly is. ^^

Title: Somebody to Love

Summary: Draco's life after the war is quite different than it used to be. When he finds himself cursed, with little hope for lifting the spell, he sets out to make the most of the time he has left. Getting to know his Aunt Andromeda and his young cousin Teddy feels like a good thing to do, even if it can't help him in the long run...or can it?

This fic, oh god, so wonderful! The thing is, well, as the summary says, Draco's been cursed, the nature of the curse it was to prove that no one could ever love Draco, and he would die – waste away – in a determined amount of time unless someone fell in love with him.

And you know, at first he tries to find someone who would love him, in his own way, he did try, but soon enough he gives up and tries to make the best of the time he has. He wants to reconnect with his family, and this means Andromeda and Teddy, and of course, Harry is always there. And oh my god, you can tell where this is going yeah?

Yep. I'm not going to say anything else. Wait, actually I am going to say more, because Draco meeting Teddy and spending time with him and Andromeda and Harry and the people who matter to them because he cares about them is just so sweet and wonderful. :) But yeah, that's all I'm going to say.

Trust me, this fic will leave you with a big smile on your face. :D

Title: Comfort & Safety

This is a remix of Comfort (which you ought to read first), which is beautiful, it's a AU after HBP, in which Draco's staying at Grimmauld Place as the war unfolds, finding, indeed, comfort, from an unlikely source. It's touching and gorgeous.

Safety takes place after that, I really don't want to spoil it, but yes, there's Main Character Death, it's heart-breaking but so touching, too. You see Draco thinking back to what comfort versus safety meant back then, how now there's safety but so little comfort, not the way there used to be. But there's also healing, and companionship. Beautiful.

Title: Kiss Me (Under the Light of a Thousand Stars)

This is such a beautiful story. Gosh, it's going to take you in a rollercoaster of emotions.

As the summary says, the story is about Harry saving Draco from Azkaban, who instead of being there the one year he was supposed, he was imprisoned for three years and placed in complete isolation. And from then on, we live with both Harry and Draco the hard road to recovery, because, again, as the summary says, Draco has lost all his memories, he's locked himself in a place in his mind he feels safe, and leaving the comfort of his cell and his routine is traumatising.

In one hand we have Draco trying to cope with these changes, all these little mechanisms that help him (OCDs), and little by little, he start reacting to Harry. And then we have Harry, trying to hard to do well by Draco, to help him, find him treatment, comfort him, and working through his own issues as well -- for Harry is something of a recluse himself, and ultimately falling in love.

And the thing is, them falling in love with each other seems it's happening from the beginning, because they find comfort in each other. It's hard for Harry, because Draco doesn't remember anything, and then it's harder still when Draco finally does.

But don't worry. It's beautiful, it's gorgeous, see them healing together and apart, it's such a beautiful ride, painful at moment, but worth every second.

This story has beautiful illustrations by iwao. Most are safe for work, though there are a couple of steamy one that you're just going to love, but every single one gorgeous and make this story even more beautiful.

Title: The Light More Beautiful

This story is fantastic. It's so emotional, it's such a journey. As the summary tells you, it starts with Draco in sixth year, there's a slight canon divergence, because instead of fulfilling the mission Draco was given and fixing the cabinet that leads to Dumbledore dying in the conditions he did, Harry helps Draco escape, but not before Harry and Draco, affected by a Potion, are together for the first time.

Draco leaves via the Porkey Harry gives him, and now, thirteen years later Draco returns, a successful Auror, a brilliant inventor, ready to join the Magical world again. Only he doesn't expect having to work with Harry so close, he doesn't expect wanting Harry as much as he did that first time – Potion or no Potion – and he doesn't expect things to be so different, that Harry is so different and the same in so many ways.

It's brilliant, truly, the characterisations are wonderful, there are so many funny, awesome moments, so many emotions, they way they start to get to know each other better, oh god, the sexual tension. It's written from Draco's POV, and it's perfect. The sex, their jobs, the mysteries to discover. It's, well, yeah, it's amazing. :D

This fic is mainly bottom!Draco, with one switching scene. ^^

Title: Stay Close to Me

This fic is so lovely. As the summary says, Harry and Draco return to Hogwarts for the Final Battle ten years anniversary, but as they do, Harry has to deal with all the memories being there bring.

What's so lovely about this story is the way Draco is there for him, supporting him, being that comforting presence by Harry's side, not letting him pretend, yet not forcing him to face his fears, but rather being his strength.

Title: Taking the Easy Way Out

This story is so great. As the summary says, Draco has disappeared from the wizarding world, and Narcissa has made it sound as if he's in some kind of trouble because he doesn't have his wand, the one Harry kept. And you know, Harry, he can't help himself, he goes finding Draco.

Only when he finds him, it's nothing like he expected it to be. Draco is still prickly and basically a huge git, but he's living like a Muggle, one that has no idea how to live like a Muggle, and of course Harry can't let it be. He needs to find out why, and he won't leave Draco alone until he finds out, and maybe not even then. It's really so very good, and funny, too, Draco trying to live like a Muggle is awesome. ^^

Title: Phoenix Rising

When mutual friends express concern about Harry, it prompts Draco to seek him out. Draco is surprised but intrigued by Harry's interest in prophecy and seers, and he finds himself falling for Harry all over again. The only problem is figuring out if Harry could possibly return his feelings.

I love stories when Harry and Draco are kind of broken after the war. It's something I can't get enough of.

In this fic it's been many years after the war, Draco is an organ tuner, a really good one, and Harry, well, Harry is trying to find his own path. But you see, Harry is still having problems coping with life post-war, and amazingly enough, it's Draco, with all of his own problems, the only person who seems can get to him.

I loved the complex characterisations of both Harry and Draco, the unexpected friendships and revelations. It just keeps surprising you, you know? It's a lovely read.

(As a note, there is no sex on screen per se, but it's heavily implied bottom!Harry.)

Title: The Price of Valour

Summary: What happens when someone you hate needs you more than anything else? When it's life or death, either battle to the end, or die trying.


This fic just got back on line after the author had taken off, which is all kinds of awesome because it's really incredible. Harry is afflicted by a mysterious disease that keeps weakening him to the point he can't move, Draco becomes his Healer and full-time carer. And it couldn't have happened in a worst moment in Harry's life; he just found out Ginny has been cheating on him for months just a few weeks before their weeding, and the Weasleys side with her (there is some Weasley bashing on his fic).

One of the things that make this story so beautiful is the slow development of the characters. Harry's gradual acceptance of his condition and everything he goes through, his feelings and thoughts, there are scenes that will bring tears to your eyes, but many that will make you smile, the way he starts seeing Draco beyond what Draco shows to the world and Harry's own awareness of himself changes. And there's Draco, who is very stoic at first, but his perception of Harry changes as he takes care of him, he comes to admire Harry's strength and vulnerability and becomes extremely protective of Harry, making him the center of his own universe.

Narcissa eventually becomes a huge support for both of them, and she's lovely written, too.

It's such a beautiful, slow paced story, with a lot of character development and intense feelings. You're lucky it's back on line, don't miss the chance to read it.

This story is mostly bottom Harry, though they switch a couple of times.

Title: Blind Faith

This is such a delightful story.

There's nothing you're not going to absolutely love about this story. Draco was attacked in Diagon Alley, and he's been blinded temporarily. Harry Potter, Auror and dog Animagus (a big Fluffy thing, just like Harry, too! Which you're going to love) offers to help him in his time of need. Very reluctantly Draco finally accepts.

Seriously, the story is wonderful, the dialogues are amazing and Harry and Draco's characterisations are brilliant. And oh! Draco is a Gay romance novels author.

Like I said, there's everything to love about this fic. Read it and enjoy.

Title: Atonement & sequel Heart Of Glass

This story starts with a mole, one that Harry has on the back of his neck, and Draco is obsessed with it. Through the years Draco never forgot of it, but he noticed the next time he saw it, it didn't look so healthy any more, and it's actually thanks to Draco that they discovered Harry was sick, that this mole is cancerous.

I don't know if I'm making this story justice with this description, because it's absolutely beautiful. Draco's devotion while Harry is sick, his selfless dedication becomes Harry's strength through his fight with cancer.

Beautiful, touching, sweet, sad at times, but lovely all around. An excellent read of Hurt/Comfort at its finest.

Title: Come For Me

I cannot believe I haven't recced this story before, because it's one of my absolute favourite fics in the whole world.

It's not only hot as hell, it's so emotional and intense as well.

After a one-night stand, which Harry believed to be more, Draco reveals he's getting married. Harry never quite forgot his night with Draco, but life went on. Then one day Draco has an accident, which Harry witnessed, and Draco's wife and unborn child died. Draco after seeing Harry there blames him, and that's when Harry truly decided to move on with his life.

But a while after Draco sends Harry an Owl asking him to meet, just to talk. Harry agrees and discovers he was never past Draco as he thought. From then on they discover together new ways to be together, to love and make love.

This is such a superficial description of such an amazing story. If you're squicked by watersports or think you are, I assure this story is nothing like you're thinking, it will surprise you in its tenderness and how insanely hot it is. This author even admitted this might be the hottest thing she ever wrote, and if you know her you know what she means.

It's a pleasure to read in every way.

Title: Harry Potter Gives a Shit

This is an adaptation of Queer as Folk, but I'm going to tell right upfront; I have never seen a single episode of this show in my life.

However, this fic is outstanding on its own! Because it's a story. It's a story about people, their problems and how they face them, these issues they have. The way the war changed them and how they suffered and continue to suffer the consequences, but in such an emotional level. It's a story about growth, too. Because as it develops they have to face changes. Both Harry and Draco; they aren't perfect by a long shot, but in their own way are trying so hard to cope.

Draco's characterisation is beautiful. After this thing, fling, relationship, with Harry started he always knew where he stood with him. He didn't have any delusions, he dreamt and hoped, it's true, but he never became a deluded person living for someone else, which I absolutely loved.

And there's Harry, who for all he is and puts his friends and loved ones through, you will love him, too. You will try to understand him and see beyond what he's trying to show you.

The whole supporting cast is incredible. Ginny, Astoria, Hermione, Ron, Molly! Oh, Molly. No, seriously, all of them are lovely written.

And you know what else? The sex; good God, the sex is steamy, dirty, loving, hot, intense and so much more.

It's a journey, of two young men finding their way in the world, flawed, perfect and confused, but trying.

Title: This I Know Is True

But it's about about love, too, because regardless of everything they might have lost, being together is all they really need. Lovely.
