Title: The Tender Things
Author:
tryslora
Rating: NC 17
Word Count: 20,000 Approx.
Summary: Five years ago Draco disappeared out of Harry’s life. Harry has never believed Draco died that night; he was sure he would have known because they were bonded. When one Deacon Malloy moves in down the street, Harry discovers that both he and his friends were right. Draco’s alive, but is he still Draco? Harry is sure of one thing: their bond is true. All that remains is to convince his husband.
Warning(s): Mpreg (only in past tense)
This is such a beautiful memory loss story (my favourite).
Draco disappeared after going on a mission, but Harry knows he's alive through the bond him and Draco had, and now, five years later when a Deacon Malloy turns on Harry's doorstep he'll have a second chance; to fall in love with the man Draco became in these fives years, and to find his husband again.
It's beautiful and sweet, and just the right touch of angsty, seeing Draco and knowing he doesn't remember Harry or their son, but knowing he feels so drawn to him and Scorpius, this connection between them, and finally accepting: It's about that, accepting that things are different now, and they might never be exactly as they were, but they are together, and at the end, that's what matters.
It's a lovely love story about second chances that you shouldn't miss.
