Title: Like Clockwork

This story is just so cool! It's case!fic with Unspeakable Harry Potter working with Curse Breaker Draco Malfoy. :D

The whole thing starts when a package is delivered to Weasley's Wizard Wheeze and as it explodes it hits Ron, putting him into a coma. Draco, who happened to be there (though, granted, he was there to spy on Harry ^^) and is the best Curse Breaker agrees to take the case, and Harry's going to help him.

It's super interesting, because to work on this spell they sort of have to go into the spell, which manifests as a small room, much like the inside of a clock, actually. The catch is that when they come back from that place, that room, they won't be able to remember anything that happened in there once they are back to the real world. But if they go back to that room, they will remember everything that happened both in their previous visit and the outside world.

And of course Harry and Draco get along in that room/spell, and of course once they are outside they don't and everything is difficult. It's awesome, this contrast, but also the way how even though they apparently don't like each other in the real world, they trust each other to be safe in that place, and together work to solve this mystery. Pretty awesome, I'm telling you. :D

Title: The Shape of the World

I so love memory loss fic and this one is wonderful. :)

The story starts when Draco travels to California for business and sees a familiar face, one that has been missing from the Wizarding world since right after the Battle of Hogwarts. It's Harry, though he quickly realises Harry doesn't remember him, doesn't remember himself, doesn't even know he's a wizard and—well. Obviously Draco has to do something, and that something is basically kidnap him and bring him back to London. :D

Of course he calls Ron and Hermione (who are very wary about the whole thing to say the least) and the process of bringing Harry's memories back starts.

It's wonderful, to see Harry starting to remember little things, and while this happen all this sexual tension between Harry and Draco growing – since Harry is staying at Draco's place while he's remembering. But of course it's not easy once the press gets wind of Harry being back. ^^

Title: Pretty Fond of Not Very Good Ideas

This story is, oh my god, so much fun. Harry's temporarily lost his memories, but that's OK because he's got Ray, who is actually Ron to help him navigate the blanks. Only, after seeing this blond god the bar, he realised Ray forgot to tell him he's gay. And he's decided to chat the blond up because, why the hell not. LOL It's amazing and fun and sexy, and Draco makes Yoga and—yeah, read it and love it. :)

This is just utterly lovely. As the summary says, Draco's appointed Unicorn Caretaker in the Forest of Dean, and this one day a (completely delightful!) unicorn named Bob fetches Draco because there's someone hurt in the forest. That person is Harry, who has been cursed blind, and more so, he doesn't remember who he is, who his friends are, and while it's clear he knows he's been cursed, his curse also stop him from even explaining that in the first place.

Draco takes him in, he tends his wounds (Draco is a vet! <3) as best he can, and Harry, not knowing who he is, asks to stay with Draco until he's more sure of himself, figure out some things out. Harry has been missing, Draco knows this, and tells Harry as much, but Harry insists on staying for a while. And in that time they start knowing each other, truly getting to know each other, and it's just lovely and magical. It doesn't come without a bit of complications, and there's also the curse to solve, but happy ending is happy. :)

I have a big, huge spot for memory loss fic, and this was wonderful. The story starts as Draco is clearly feeling unwell while on a mission with Harry. He's hit with a hex and the next thing he knows, it's eight years later, he's married to Harry and has for little boys and expecting a fifth. It goes without saying he's completely confused and overwhelmed.

But the thing is, little by little he start knowing them, his children, taking care of them seeing his life with Harry and falling in love – with all of them. It's not easy, they are complete strangers and it's so unlike the life he once knew and pictured for himself and the pregnancy, that it takes him some time. But let me tell you, seeing him trying, taking care of his family, seeing his feelings change and evolve is lovely. :)

As the summary says, this is a remix – a prequel, actually, of If the Sun Goes Black by

pasdexcuses (PG-13, 23K) which I recced it here.

In that story we see Harry waking up with no memory of the last couple years of his life, finding out he's in a relationship with Draco Malfoy, living together and apparently quite happy. It's more than that though, because he soon realises there's something weird happening with Draco.

In this fic we learn how the two of them started living together, we see exactly the reason, he see everything Draco went through, the curse he's suffering (Draco's been cursed!) and how Harry is helping him.

I know it sounds a bit confusing, but let me tell you, this story is amazing. Draco's characterisation is so rich and touching, and the whole story is filled with details, it's pretty brilliant. Harry is pretty brilliant, too. We see them developing feelings for each other, see how those feelings sort of sneak up on them, and there's the whole thing with the curse on the other hand, super intriguing.

Like I said, this story is a prequel, but I actually suggest you read If the Sun Goes Black first and then this one. Not going to regret it at all. :D

Title: If the Sun Goes Black

This fic is just so cool. It's from Harry's POV, and the story starts with Harry having lost his memories of the past couple of years and he wakes up to learn he's in a relationship with Draco and that they are living together.

I loved Harry's confusion and feelings about knowing this new Draco, seeing their home and feeling like a complete stranger, even if he can see himself all over their house, it's even stranger to see Draco's things with his. Knowing him. But it's a lot more than that, because just as Harry tries to remember his life, he realises nothing is what it seems, and Draco is hiding something, too. Hiding something important, and Harry will find out what it is (case!Fic).

We learn about what's really going on, little by little like putting together a puzzle. And aw, man, the ending is all kinds of hopeful, too. :)

Title: The Haumiaroa Magical Society for the Conservation of Indigenous Wildlife

This is a cute story of Harry, who travelled to New Zealand wanting to get away from the Wizarding world, and so it happens he runs (crashes, really) into a little kiwi chick in danger. Of course he saves it and even brings him with him to his hotel.

Later we learn (not Harry!) that this kiwi chick is really Draco, and refusing to be left behind when Harry decides to change destinations follows him.

But you see, at first Draco didn't quite remember how to turn back, being around Harry helps, helps to the point he's finally able to change back to his human form. They have words. :D

Title: Not Through With You

I mentioned Snowgall how memory loss is one of my favourite tropes, and she shared several links with me. This is one of those stories, and it was wonderful.

This story is an AU in the sense that it takes place during the war, and Draco is a spy for the Order.

When it's time to report after a mission from the Dark Lord, he goes to Grimmauld Place and stays for a few days. Only this time he starts having visions and dreams about him and Harry being together, so he tries to avoid Harry, Harry who is a bit unavoidable, actually.

We soon learn that these visions and dreams he's been having might be more. It's wonderful, how hard this is for Draco, how lonely he is and how he uses insults as defense mechanism. It's very hot, and the ending is surprisingly sweet.

This fic is bottom!Harry, but there's very mild imply switching, though nothing on-screen.

Title: Kiss Me (Under the Light of a Thousand Stars)

But Harry has his own demons to fight and together with saving Draco, Harry must also discover a way to find himself.

This is such a beautiful story. Gosh, it's going to take you in a rollercoaster of emotions.

As the summary says, the story is about Harry saving Draco from Azkaban, who instead of being there the one year he was supposed, he was imprisoned for three years and placed in complete isolation. And from then on, we live with both Harry and Draco the hard road to recovery, because, again, as the summary says, Draco has lost all his memories, he's locked himself in a place in his mind he feels safe, and leaving the comfort of his cell and his routine is traumatising.

In one hand we have Draco trying to cope with these changes, all these little mechanisms that help him (OCDs), and little by little, he start reacting to Harry. And then we have Harry, trying to hard to do well by Draco, to help him, find him treatment, comfort him, and working through his own issues as well -- for Harry is something of a recluse himself, and ultimately falling in love.

And the thing is, them falling in love with each other seems it's happening from the beginning, because they find comfort in each other. It's hard for Harry, because Draco doesn't remember anything, and then it's harder still when Draco finally does.

But don't worry. It's beautiful, it's gorgeous, see them healing together and apart, it's such a beautiful ride, painful at moment, but worth every second.

This story has beautiful illustrations by

iwao. Most are safe for work, though there are a couple of steamy one that you're just going to love, but every single one gorgeous and make this story even more beautiful.

I love me some memory loss fic, and this is great.

Harry and Draco have a unique relationship; they are Auror and Handler, they are lovers. But then one day Harry takes a solo mission and disappears, and the ring that connected Harry and Draco tells Draco Harry is dead.

However, Draco and Ron refuse to believe Harry is dead, and they look for him everywhere.

This is how a journey starts, because, oh, so many questions! Do they find Harry? And if they do, has Harry changed? Do he even remember them? Lovely.

This story is based on Anastasia. And it's lovely.

It's got Harry, or Henry, rather, with no memories of his life, and there's Draco, trying to find the perfect Harry like and act alike to return to Ron and Hermione for a reward. Draco, he's shocked when he met 'Henry'; he's just so much like Harry (without the scar), just as infuriating and charming, and Henry, who finds Draco exactly as infuriating and charming as Draco finds him. It's fun and sweet and lovely.

This fic is so awesome! It starts with Draco waking up one day, and out of the blue Harry Potter acting like he's Draco's (secret) boyfriend.

He doesn't know what's going on, he thinks he's crazy, he thinks someone put a spell on Harry, he thinks it's a trap of some sort. He doesn't know what to think, to be honest. But eventually everything is going to fall into place. And you're going to love every step of the way.

It's funny, it's entertaining, intriguing and there's some hot sex there too! :D

This is such an amazing story. It has an original twist on the memory loss trope that I loved.

You see, Harry and Draco have been having this thing, it's casual and intense as anything these two have, until one day Draco is hit by a curse in his work as cursebreaker and started to forget, not just forget Harry, forget his life, and when Harry realised this is happening he tried to help Draco, only Draco thinks he's better off without his memories, starting as a new man, and having the relationship he always thought he wanted with Harry.

And what kills me is that it might have worked, but only, Draco wasn't really Draco, that thing that made him who he is, who Harry really wanted and even loved about Draco, was missing, and then they found the counter course to Draco's memory loss, and with it Draco's memories came back, and with them came the Malfoy pride and a lot of misunderstandings.

Two stories in one rec because these are perfect to be read together. One "A Few Brief Moments", it's a remix, a prequel of

omi_ohmy's amazing story Sleeping Dragon, which is gorgeous and sweet and painful, as Draco has lost all his memories of his and Harry's life together. This is the journey they made, as strangers until they become lovers once more. It's beautiful.

This remix shows you that life, how it all began, how they nourished what they had, building this amazing life for themselves, the slight problems they had on the way, and ultimately what happened just before Draco lost his memories.

These two are amazing, beautiful and sweet, and you should definitely read them together.

Title: Hidden in Plain Sight

Summary: EWE. Set four years after the Battle of Hogwarts, three years after Draco was abducted by person or persons unknown. Draco is now living in a small Muggle community and working in a library with no idea the Wizarding World exists, until one day, a bloke with a mop of just-shagged black hair comes in for storytime with a little boy to get out of the rain.

After three years missing, Harry finally finds Draco, by pure chance, living as a Muggle working as a librarian, and without memory of his life or their relationship.

It's wonderful. You see, Draco has been remembering, having flashbacks of sorts of a different life, one that doesn't make sense to him like the things that sometimes happen to him don't make sense either, and once he meets Harry, these flashes start coming more often. But there's also the mystery of who attacked Draco and Obliviate his memories in the first place. That person was never found, so Draco is still in danger.

It's lovely and touching, the way Harry reacts when he first saw Draco, and the way Draco is completely smitten with this Harry person, just adorable.

Title: Misplaced Memories or at AO3

Summary: Harry is hit by an unknown curse and loses eighteen years of his memories. When he wakes up, he doesn't remember magic, Hogwarts or that he's happily married to a former Death Eater. Draco struggles to adapt to the changes and tries to help Harry retrieve his memories without causing further damage.

This is such a lovely memory loss story. Harry has lost 18 years of memories after an attack in the field, and he wakes up, in the mind of a ten years old, not knowing why he's so 'big'. And there's Draco, who is his Healer and his husband, trying to help, but at the same time afraid he might do more damage to Harry's already fragile state. And on top of this he's also dealing with the people who attacked Harry in the first place.

It is dramatic, but lovely, too, because as Harry starts remembering we get to see pieces, moments of the life Harry and Draco built together. I loved Harry and Draco's relationship here, you can tell they have something real and strong, and you're cheering for them to get pass this.

Title: Rise Above the Moon

This fic is just so hot! God.

It works the Alpha/Beta/Omega Dynamics just right so to make the UST drip all over the place, with both Harry and Draco having being infected with werewolf bite, but even though they don't fully transform during the full moon, there do suffer some effects of it. Yeah, the sort of side effects that are too delicious for words. But this story also include another one of my favourite tropes: Draco working for Harry. Read it and enjoy!

Title: Number Seven

Summary: Harry already has two children, an ex-wife, annoying colleagues and an international crime ring to deal with. So when Draco Malfoy reappears after eight years AWOL in France, of course Harry is going to leave him well alone...Right?
Warning(s): See them on the fic, all of them are fairly harmless. ^^

This story is packed with action. Just when you think things are going to turn alright and live happily ever after a new twist comes along to keep you on your toes. It's super entertaining and exciting.

Harry is an Obliviator and he's sent to pick up a drunk wizard in Muggle London, which of course turns out to be Draco, who was swimming on a fountain saying his name was "Jack Daniels". Naturally Harry can't leave it well alone, so after another encounter with a drunk Draco decides to help and he brings Draco and Scorpius to live with him. And now they have an international crime ring after the lot of them.

This fic has everything; a hopelessly smitten Harry, an equally smitten Draco, though he's difficult, which I love, super cute children, lots of UST, lovely sex, memory loss (a couple of chapters), tons of action and a brilliant ending.

Should keep you busy for a while, but's worth it, this story is a lot of fun.

Not an epilogue complaint story. ^^

Title: Twist of Fate or at AO3

Summary: Draco asks Harry to help him beat the Imperius curse during 4th year. The lessons turn into more than either expected. A story of redemption and forgiveness.

I took this story with me to finish while I was away and I ended up reading it from the start.

This story is not an AU, it plays with canon. You see, in this fic Harry and Draco started their relationship back in the fourth year, during the Triwizard Tournament and were together for two years, up until the infamous scene in the Hogwarts Express at the beginning of sixth year, where Draco, not only break Harry's nose, but he also removes every single memory of the two of them together.

The story starts at Draco's trial after the war, when it comes to light that Draco erased Harry's memories of them, and then it shows you their relationship, how it started, how it evolved, how they fell in love and staged so many of their fights through Hogwarts. But then it comes the time when they have to face what Draco did, for Draco, erasing himself from the memory of the love of his life to protect him, and for Harry, having lost all those experiences, having loved and be loved, friendships made and everything it implied. Because there's no way to undo it, there's no way to bring those memories back, though the feelings remain, or in Harry's case, the inkling of those feelings, because as angry as Harry was at Draco, he was never able to stop thinking about him.

It's very dramatic, how they cope, Harry's emotions at having to face having no knowledge of what a huge part of his life Draco was for over two years and Draco having to live with that, not knowing how to make Harry understand, unable to even speak to him for so long.

It's really a journey, from those days when Harry couldn't even look at Draco, to finding forgiveness, be willing to forgive and be forgiven, making new memories and sharing old ones.

Title: The Tender Things

This is such a beautiful memory loss story (my favourite).

Draco disappeared after going on a mission, but Harry knows he's alive through the bond him and Draco had, and now, five years later when a Deacon Malloy turns on Harry's doorstep he'll have a second chance; to fall in love with the man Draco became in these fives years, and to find his husband again.

It's beautiful and sweet, and just the right touch of angsty, seeing Draco and knowing he doesn't remember Harry or their son, but knowing he feels so drawn to him and Scorpius, this connection between them, and finally accepting: It's about that, accepting that things are different now, and they might never be exactly as they were, but they are together, and at the end, that's what matters.

It's a lovely love story about second chances that you shouldn't miss.

I thought I had recced this story ages ago.

This fic, as you can see, it's loaded with warnings and kinks. There's Daddy!kink, mindfuck, dubious content, feminisation, comeplay, name-calling. It's got it all. And if you're wondering how did the author do to fit it all and make it work you're going to have to read the story, because she does, she really does.

This fic is very kinky and very twisted in a very good day.

Draco wakes up, and he has no idea where he is, or who he is, but there's Harry, and Harry is going to tell him everything he needs to know.

Mind the warnings, though. This is not a fluffy fic, not for the faint of heart. It's rather on the Dark Side of the spectrum, but totally worth it. Perfectly disturbing and I loved it in all its twistedness.

I'm going to be honest, it took me a long time to read this story, and only because of the HP/DM/SS factor. But it's nothing like I thought! Don't get me wrong, I like Snape. Well, you know what I mean. But really! I've read my share of Snape Slash, but threesomes are not my cuppa. This fic is not a threesome fic though. The "threesome" is only a scene, which basically happens in someone's mind.

There's been a Potions accident, and now Draco has lost four years of memories. Harry is trying to help him, but Draco doesn't remember them being friends, so he's all "I don't trust you, Potter!" and "Stop calling me 'Draco', Potter!" And then there's Portrait!Snape who has to direct Harry while he's making a Potion, which is just precious.

Written from Harry's POV, who has been lusting for Draco, and has some pretty intense revelations while he helps Draco opening the door (literally) back to his lost memories.

It's sexy and sweet and funny and there's a lot of bickering, which is so very much my thing, specially when the author nails it like on this story. ^^

Snapshots is lovely. It's about Draco waking up with no memories of the past several years and his life with Harry. Every day he learns he's been together with Harry and has a daughter, and it's beautiful and sweet, to watch him learning this facts of his life.

Well, Unbroken it's Harry's version of the same story. And the author, this brilliant author, made it so very moving, it's going to touch your heart. Because this is Harry living with a person who doesn't remember him, who in turn distrust him and even dislike him, and this is someone who Harry loves, adores, lives for, and so it's hard. But Harry bears it, out of love for Draco, for their daughter, hoping against hope that one day the Potion Snape has been working on will allow Draco to one day remember their life. It's beautiful.

It's lovely, because both Harry and Draco are trying so hard, Harry trying to grasp whatever remains from his husband, and Draco, well, trying to cope with living a life he has no memory of.
