This story starts with a mole, one that Harry has on the back of his neck, and Draco is obsessed with it. Through the years Draco never forgot of it, but he noticed the next time he saw it, it didn't look so healthy any more, and it's actually thanks to Draco that they discovered Harry was sick, that this mole is cancerous.

I don't know if I'm making this story justice with this description, because it's absolutely beautiful. Draco's devotion while Harry is sick, his selfless dedication becomes Harry's strength through his fight with cancer.

Beautiful, touching, sweet, sad at times, but lovely all around. An excellent read of Hurt/Comfort at its finest.

I just read this yesterday after re-re-reading Let's Pretend.

I really like pir8's writing, though she is a bit too fond of ambivalent/unhappy ends to really be a favorite.

This pair was lovely. I was left feeling that if H & D did part, it would only be temporary; while kids were still kids.

LOL!!!! I re read it yesterday too, came to rec it first thing this morning.

I love her style, but I found this fic not be all that ambivalent. The way she characterised Harry told me that when Harry said "be back home at 8" said to me 'I've made a home here with you and I'm coming back', you know? To me there was no doubt.

But you're right about Ron. That's how I love Ron being written.

But I do know what you mean. When I read On One's knees, well, luckily I caught the happy ending version or else many tears would have ensued!

And now... Let's Pretend, that's a fic I know by HEART, specially read it by raitala. God.

That's one of the best podfics in fandom. She also has On One Knees. But yeah, you listen to Let's Pretend and you'll love it.
