Ron and Hermione vanished into the Department of Mysteries, and when Harry goes searching for them he sees the whole department has turned into a cave. He encounters a mute and scarred Draco Malfoy, who becomes his only companion while facing the horrors within the maze.

But this story is not only about that darkness, it's about this fierce protectiveness towards one another, because they need and cling to each other to survive, and while walking through the maze they forge a bond that can never be broken. And all through his Harry is constantly warring with himself, with his newly discovered sexuality and all the feelings he starts having for Draco. It's very intense in that sense, too.
