This is such a gripping story, once I started I couldn't stop reading it.

The fic starts when Harry finds Draco working as a prostitute. He comes back looking for Draco and ends up buying Draco's contract from his pimp. But what Harry didn't know, is that in doing so he became Draco's owner. The story develops as we learn the extent of this "bond", this ownership, which is what it is, and the conspiracies behind such contracts. We learn everything Draco went through all these years and the consequences of all the exploitation he's suffered, how Draco came to be a whore, and we see Draco struggling with years of violence and abuse at the hands of his previous owners.

At the same time we have Harry, and Harry is a very complex character too. He has issues, many. He's still scarred about everything he went through during the war, he has problems controlling his magic and his temper, though he's very respected in the Magical World, and he's in denial about his sexuality, but it's not a blind denial, because he does acknowledge he is attracted to Draco. There is this incredible scene, the first time Draco touches Harry, and it's so bittersweet and sexy at the same time. My heart ached for Harry at that moment. It's gorgeous.

The title Broken Toy, I personally believe, it actually refers to both of them. Draco is broken, however, he's not broken in the sense that has no will and he's only a shadow of whom he used to be, he's still Draco Malfoy through and through, and it shows, but he's a damaged person who need someone to help him. And there's Harry, with many issues, who needs someone to love him.

Amidst all of this, they find each other, they truly find each other and at the end of the journey they find solace.

I also loved the way it was written, aside from this plot, which is so very engrossing, I really liked the writing itself, I loved the voice the author gave to both Harry and Draco.

As a note, there's Ginny bashing on this fic, and a bit of Weasley bashing (Fred, George and Ron, though Ron comes around). The story is mainly bottom Draco, but there are a couple of scenes with bottom!harry. I don't know why I mention it, I guess I know how important that's to some people, but in a 150K story one can hardly expect there's not switching, yeah? Still, there you go. ^^

Title: The Consolations of a Summer’s Day

This is such a fantastic story. It's one of those fics that engulfs you completely because it's so fun and exciting to read.

This is Harry and Draco on the run (sort of) trying to solve Pansy's murdered, with help from Luna (she's amazing) and Kreacher (even more amazing!) and several others, including OCs that are perfect fit for the story.

And if you're thinking it's 33K and PG, trust me when I say, this is the sort of story that it's going to make you fall in love with PGs. I've said that before, coincidentally about this very same author. It's brilliant.

Title: The Boy Who Wore Pink Knickers

I know the warnings might seem too much, but honestly, they're mostly related to one scene. And you shouldn't let it stop you, because this fic is so good.

What this story is really about is about Draco being On License; on parole. He's committed a crime, a mistake, that he keeps calling, and for the longest time he's unable to face that fact, to truly face life knowing this "mistake" he made, cost someone's life. I'm not going to spoil you and tell you what he did, you'll learn that from Draco himself, but you will come to understand him fully.

Harry is his parole officer, and he's trying to help Draco. Mind you, it's not always a gentle prodding, he pushes Draco to face it, but you know, sometimes you have to face your mistakes in your own pace.

This fic is truly amazing, Draco and Harry are so human here; they are not perfect or evil, neither of them, both are trying in their own ways, to do what they have to do. It's not a romance or a love story, it's not meant to be one, but it's original, intense, real and poignant.

Title: Make a Map (And There You Are)

Summary: After an Auror mission gone wrong, Harry finds himself stranded on an island, where his only companions are a mute house-elf, a prickly owl, and an insufferable git. Roughly based on the story of Odysseus and Calypso from Homer's Odyssey.


After a mission Harry wakes up on an island, an island where only heroes go, and you can only leave by really wanting to leave. The thing is Harry doesn't to, since Draco, who disappeared seven years prior is there.

While Harry stays with Draco, he learns Draco can't leave the island either, he's bonded to it, and time doesn't pass for him. He's the same as he was seven years before. Draco can't leave, and Harry doesn't want to leave without him.

It's very original, and so lovely. Even though it's from Harry's POV, Draco's feelings leak through the story. Also, the bits with Ron and Hermione are also perfectly well done. A wonderful read indeed.

Title: Hearts Open (at the Close)

This fic has an incredibly powerful Harry who has little control over his magic, and slightly (maybe not slightly) mentally unstable, and Draco is trying to help him as his Healer, but soon he finds swept by Harry's delusions and they escalate beyond his power.

And it's so interesting, because at first he fights Harry, at least he tries to, but this proves to be impossible, up to the point that he starts losing himself a bit as well.

I love the plot of this story, I love how the author writes Harry, in spite of everything he does, you can't find it in you to hate him or resent him. I don't mean that Harry is dark or evil, he's not, it's that he's not quite sane, and it's fascinating in a slightly twisted way, you know? This is the sort of fic that leaves you speechless, in a good way.

Title: Lamp in the Cooling Room

This is a gorgeous story, told from a little girl's POV, who is trapped in a cabin with both Harry and Draco, and the magic won't allow them to leave, not alive.

It's beautiful and touching and it has such a candid feel about it, being from this little girl point of view, yet the interactions between Harry and Draco are just so intense.

It's beautiful story.

Title: Rejoicing in Their Strength & sequel Eyes That Can See in the Dark

This is such an amazing story. As the summary says, During the Malfoy's house arrest Draco has been tortured by a mad Lucius, he's been keeping him in chains, in a sort of torture lab at the Mannor. Draco has been able to escape some of the physical pain through astral travel, and is during on of these moments that he finds Harry is a werewolf, living in the Forest of Dean, and he's the leader of a pack.

When Harry learns about all Draco goes through under Lucius' madness he plans to rescue Draco with his pack.

But I'm not making it justice with this comment. This fic is so exciting. Learning about Harry, about the dynamic of the pack, their lives living with the wolf inside of them, is brilliant.

There's a bit of gore and violence, and most of it happens in wolf form, aside from Lucius' madness, but it's not off putting, I don't think, because it so fits the story, yet, there are parts that are absolutely beautiful and tender, too.

The werewolf lore on this story is something so new and creative, it makes them both seem realistic and mythical. I don't know how the author does it (as she does it again and again in many of her stories). And the ending, in the first story, is absolutely perfect.

The sequel is about Draco's life with the pack.

Title: Sometimes They Burn

This is a very intense story. Draco is in Azkaban, and he's going to cut a deal with Harry; in exchange for his freedom, he's going to help him find one of the last remaining Death Eaters. However, this is a different Harry, he's ruthless, but little they know, yet, that the infamous Sectumsempra changed them in more ways than they ever knew.

There's a lot of angry, painful and even violent sex. And I love it.

It's very powerful and intense. There is a warning for a Major Character Death, but being written as a narration of the happenings, it gives you the distance you need to read it without the pain of the death being too overwhelming.

It's not a happy story, but there's no denying it has some pretty amazing parts, sexy even, and powerful. I can almost hear those bells rining.

Title: Unintended

This story is kind of dark, very intense and just the right sort of twisted.

This is a War fic. Draco is on a mission to spy Harry, but Harry caught them, and now that they are together, alone and hiding, the lines between black and white are blending and a lot can happen in the wide grey spectrum.

Like I said, it's very intense.

Title: Boys Don't Cry

This fic has everything to be a great story. And it is!

It's got drama, a very confused Harry, and Draco being the source of this confusion, Draco is Harry's prisoner (hey, I'm into that stuff—don't judge me), the war is coming and hormones are rampaging at Grimmauld Place with these two in such close quarters.

The first part is written in Harry's POV, the second part in Draco's and I honestly don't know which one I like best. They are both amazing.

It also has some stunning art accompanying, and some of the sexiest scenes I've read.

This fic is fun to read, it's an AU (Sirius, Snape and Dumbledore live!) and the 50,000 are going to fly by.

Title: A Good Man

This is a story about a man who is lost. And He's trying, Harry is trying, but he's tired too, and it's like he's lost direction. And there's Draco, who is bound to Harry, who is to spend his sentence in a slavery position of sorts.

It's tragic and confusing, but there is hope too, there is forgiveness, and it's as important that others forgive you as it is that you forgive yourself.

It's very raw, and very touching.

Title: A Splinter & Roast Lamb and Red Wine Gravy

The first part is mostly about Draco doing his sentence after the war.

I love it because they are kind of awkward. But there are all these gestures between then. And those titles are going to make sense after you read them.

Title: A Fruit Tree in Winter

I loved this fic because it felt so REAL. After failing to kill Dumbledore, Draco is sent alone to a cabin, his loneliness is so painful, with Snape as is only and very rare visitor, until Harry Potter appears, injured, also sent by Snape. And from them on it's wow.

The hostility between them, then the progression in their interactions, the mounting tension until it spills. It's really quite incredible, with a hopeful ending.

This fic has gorgeous art accompanying the story.
