Summary: After the war Harry’s not the same as he used to be. He has chosen the life of a recluse, although he is still famous, highly respected in the wizarding world, and honoured by the Ministry. His well-ordered life will be shaken by a reunion. Life will never be the same as before… (post HBP)

This is such a gripping story, once I started I couldn't stop reading it.
The fic starts when Harry finds Draco working as a prostitute. He comes back looking for Draco and ends up buying Draco's contract from his pimp. But what Harry didn't know, is that in doing so he became Draco's owner. The story develops as we learn the extent of this "bond", this ownership, which is what it is, and the conspiracies behind such contracts. We learn everything Draco went through all these years and the consequences of all the exploitation he's suffered, how Draco came to be a whore, and we see Draco struggling with years of violence and abuse at the hands of his previous owners.
At the same time we have Harry, and Harry is a very complex character too. He has issues, many. He's still scarred about everything he went through during the war, he has problems controlling his magic and his temper, though he's very respected in the Magical World, and he's in denial about his sexuality, but it's not a blind denial, because he does acknowledge he is attracted to Draco. There is this incredible scene, the first time Draco touches Harry, and it's so bittersweet and sexy at the same time. My heart ached for Harry at that moment. It's gorgeous.
The title Broken Toy, I personally believe, it actually refers to both of them. Draco is broken, however, he's not broken in the sense that has no will and he's only a shadow of whom he used to be, he's still Draco Malfoy through and through, and it shows, but he's a damaged person who need someone to help him. And there's Harry, with many issues, who needs someone to love him.
Amidst all of this, they find each other, they truly find each other and at the end of the journey they find solace.
I also loved the way it was written, aside from this plot, which is so very engrossing, I really liked the writing itself, I loved the voice the author gave to both Harry and Draco.
As a note, there's Ginny bashing on this fic, and a bit of Weasley bashing (Fred, George and Ron, though Ron comes around). The story is mainly bottom Draco, but there are a couple of scenes with bottom!harry. I don't know why I mention it, I guess I know how important that's to some people, but in a 150K story one can hardly expect there's not switching, yeah? Still, there you go. ^^
