I have to say this is my favourite rec list that I have ever come across, it is layed out so well and you have such great comments on them! I love it, thanks for making it! I was wondering what, out of all the H/D fics you have read what is your favourite fic? Mine is In Pieces by Cheryl Dyson but I don't think I've read nearly as many as you.

I'm so glad you find this list useful. I'm 90% happy with it, the only thing missing in my opinion is adding the disability on the disability lists and the unusual career on that list, too, and then I'll be 100% happy. I've been slowly adding it, but I'll make a point to do it next month so I can strike that out of my to do list. :)

That's a serious question! ;) I've often thought of it myself. There are so many stories I love. I don't know if I could think of one. Sometimes when I'm wondering to myself I say I can't possibly pick less than five stories, but before I even finish listing those stories I'm bombarded with a ton of fic that I can read and re read and never get tired. I've been thinking of making a H/D meme "Stories Fandom Can't Live Without", and make a top ten (or top twenty?) with the answers people give. That'd be pretty cool, yeah?

But some of my very favourites would be Big Dick, Come Quick, Bond, Ain't No Friend Of Mine, Some Kind of Wonderful, Little Red Courgette, A Secret History, Delaney, The Arrangement Series, All That Remains, Turn, Stain Of Silence, The Weight Of Eternity, In Pieces (of course! Though another favourite of mine by Cheryl is…) The Incredible Race, One Harry Potter Please… lol I swear, I'd never end!

I just love your recs and the running commentary.I follow you posts and enjoy the fics you recs. can you recommend some good fics where Harry is pursuing Draco and is totally jealous,possessive and has unrequited crush on him.I prefer bottom Draco fics. Also any good non magical AU H/D stories are appreciated. I read all the ones in your list and loved them, especially the one where Draco is Ron's assistant and Harry borrows him for a while. {Happy endings are a must}
Finally,I have a story I wish to recommend to fellow Drarry and Harry pursuing Draco fans. It's a WIP but the plot is interesting so far.

I just want to thank you so much for creating this very detailed recommendation list of drarry fanfics :) I can easily navigate through any kind of genres (and even the content and everything, omg) with the help of your list! Ahh, my favourite fanfic. That list would LONG! *lol* In fact, this rec archive is a good wip list of my favourites. :)

I can probably tell you some of the most memorable though, because the stories I read when I first started reading Harry/Draco always have a especial place in your heart, you know? They'd probably be Big Dick, Come Quick by calanthe and Bond - by anna fugazzi. They are still among my favourites, but these were some of the first long stories I read, amazing, classics and they even cemented some my headcanons, you know? But picking a favourite, even several favourites, that's serious business, and I'll just never end. :D

Hi! I just want to let you know that you have the most awesome fic rec page I've ever seen. I can't even comprehend the amount of time you take to categorise those fics, and I'm forever grateful for it; it makes my life a lot easier when I'm looking for a Drarry fic to read. And your detailed comments also great, too. I have discovered a lot of really awesome fics and authors from your recs, and for that I'm forever grateful. You make a life of a Drarry fangirl complete. =)

By the way, I'm not sure if you've read this yet, but I have recently read a series called Picking up Pieces by Tessa Crowley on AO3. It's more towards the angsty side, but it's absolutely amazing. The second part had me in a blubbering mess (granted I read both parts in one day), and I don't usually cry from reading fics. Anyway, I'd really recommend it if you haven't read it.

Hi! I love your recs on here. Your commentary is often what gets me to read things I wouldn't otherwise because the summaries don't draw me in so I am forever grateful for that. I'm so sorry to do this (especially here), but I am horrible at navigating LJ nowadays and I don't know where else to go, so I have a question to ask.

Do you know of any fics (Harry/Draco, of course) where Draco learns about and/or meets the Dursleys? I've only run into one so far and it was a non-magical AU. I understand if you don't know/don't want to turn yourself into some sort of fic search, so if you could direct me to somewhere that could help me with my search, I would still be eternally grateful. Connection by gryffindorj (Epilogue compliant, but there's no infidelity or anything).

Both have been recced here, so that ought to tell you how much I love them. :D

Someone led me to this community and I'm so grateful! I've really enjoyed every single story I've read on here. I haven't read a whole lot in the past year and this list has helped me find some great fic I haven't read and really get me back into fandom. There is a story I found recently when I was looking around Smoochfest, from back in 2009, that I dearly loved! I'm a sucker with fic that involves one of the boys having trouble accepting their sexuality. Being from the south and seeing the intolerance that still exists even today, I can understand how difficult it can be to accept your sexuality. Add in Draco's worry about his family obligations, friends acceptance (I love Pansy in this), and most of all horror at being attracted to Harry and it makes for a great story. Draco is very in character, in my opinion, and Harry too. There are drinking games, bets and...I just love it! You may not like it as much as I did, or it may even already be on your rec list and I didn't see it, but here it is if you want to give it a read. http://hd-smoochfest.livejournal.com/4920.html LJ absolutely refuses to let me do a link where you can actually read the title instead of just the ugly link. I think you've recced A Tale of Horns, so you'll know how wonderful Pushdragon's writing is. (Though I could quote every other line!)

I thought this was an instant classic the first time I read it - lovely hurt/comfort, slowly developing H/D, some great humour, and everyone's character is spot-on.

I read this ages ago, then spent quite a while searching for it again, and finally found it. Beautifully written, Scorpius is the highlight of this - his character is great, and all the kids are very realistic. I finished reading LadySlytherin's Synchronicity, which was written for HD Cliche Fest. She used a whopping 47 clichés in this 35,000-word story, and it’s...it's awesomely over-the-top. It's hilarious and, at other times, cringe worthy, but always entertaining. It's The Big Mama of cliché Drarry. :)
