Title: The World of the Living
Author:
fourth_rose
Rating: R
Word Count: 17,400
Summary: A traumatised war hero and a convicted criminal under the roof of an eccentric journalist make for a rather odd ensemble, but Luna has never had a problem with oddities as long as they make sense.
Warning(s): Voyeurism, Parselsmut (both in small dosses)
Written entirely from Luna's POV, this fic is incredible. It's almost a character study of Harry and Draco, and Luna. They are so real here.
After the war Harry is a mess, but he doesn't need people to be sympathetic and try to understand him, he needs someone who will accept him and let him do this in his own pace, and someone very moody who will tell him to cut the crap, too.
And Draco, he doesn't need pity, or help, not like that, he needs a chance…
And Luna, she just see things in this very unique way.
You see, usually when I read fanfic, I don't expect for every writer keep them in character. To me, half the fun is watching what people do with the characters, and write them as they see them or as they wish they were… I don't know. I just love all the different versions of Harry and Draco through fanfics, but I think, on this fic, they have been kept very much in character, and it's incredible to see that they just work, and even so, they can be good for each other, you know?
This fic has a very cool insight into these three characters, and it's amazing.
