This is one of the best creature fics I've read, and I think I love it so much because the author doesn't romanticise it. It's real, the pain, the transformation, the hard parts of losing yourself and turning into an animal, you can feel those on this story.

But there's so much more than that, too. There's self-sacrifice, too, selflessly. And that makes more than just a creature fic, also a love story in its own way.

I think I'm in love with this fic. I just finished reading it, and there's this lump in my throat that I'm not sure if it will end up being a laugh or a sob. This story is so well-written and well-paced, too. And even though it's written in Draco's POV, you can feel Harry's pain when he's struggling to keep the human part of himself. And Draco, too, was suffering through it all, his lost from the war and his father, and how he's emotionally torn up by his mental father.

I also love the slow-built relationship between Harry and Draco. Their relationship is not perfect, but how they need each other is so touching. Gosh, there are so many great things about this fic! And there are also subtle humour in it, too.

Anyway, I just want to let you know that I'm glad you recced this story. It was absolutely brilliant! Thank you so much!!!! =)
