Summary: No amount of playing by the rules has made Harry's life any easier, and Malfoy has matured but also hasn't. They are who they are, and though they try, neither one can fully change.


So wonderful, this fic. Harry is a Junior Auror here, quite happy about that, but he starts taking bigger responsibilities—first as a favour to his Senior Auror Partner, and one of them being overseeing independent Projects, such as Experimental Potions, making sure the Potioneer follows protocol, etc. And it turns out, Harry's very first mission of the sort is to assist one Draco Malfoy, who is wonderful, by the way. Their interactions are adorable, there's a very slow but lovely build up and soon enough Draco starts needing Harry's presence more often, and when he doesn't need, Harry goes looking for him to see why not. :D

There's a little bit of adorable drunk!Draco, who also has a very low tolerance to pain Potions and he super cute, there are wonderful characterisations, of Harry, Draco, Romilda (she rocks!), Pucey and even Robards. ^^

In the mist of all this Harry struggles with his place in the Auror department, he likes being Junior, but maybe he should face the fact he's ready to be more than that. As he has to face that what he feels for Draco is more, and maybe Draco feels the same. It's charming and lovely all around.
