Title: Reading Malfoy
Author:
femmequixotic
Rating: NC 17
Word Count: 15,100 Approx.
Summary: After thirteen years of hiding himself away in Muggle London, Draco Malfoy shows up again in the wizarding world--with a wickedly amusing memoir in hand. Harry doesn't want to read it. Really. He doesn't.
This is such a good story. Oh, yes, it is!
It's about Draco having written a book, (Muggle Me) a memoir of sorts of his life, living as Muggle in the Muggle world. Luna, who works on a publishing house, gave Harry a manuscript and asked him to write a blurb.
But it's about Harry, too, his life, the man he's become and how Harry as he read the book saw past it, saw how hard it was for Draco, saw the real Draco and saw some of himself on it as well.
Oh, the pining, the yearning, is delicious, because Harry never stopped thinking about Draco, keeping tabs on him, and once he finished reading the book, he finally goes looking for him.
I loved the style, the descriptions, the characterisations, they feel honest and mature, it's about two men who have been in denial and are finally facing each other.
