Summary: Harry is assigned to Draco by the Carrows, and he thinks Draco is an entitled, selfish git until they spend some time together on their own. Harry realises not all is what it seems, and that power and wealth doesn't always mean happiness.
Warning(s): AU, Voldemort Rules world, background slavery, blood discrimination.
I loved the twisted concept of this story. The idea of Half Bloods and Muggle Borns being assigned to Pure Bloods, as if they were slaves is striking. Actually, there's little 'as if' about it. And of course, Harry is assigned to Draco.
And what makes it so twisted is the nonviolent quality of it, the passiveness and even agreeable attitude about the whole thing. Like, well, like this is life in the Magical World, the Pure Bloods rule and there's nothing to do about it.
It's really fascinating.
