Title: Chasing Draco
Author:
dracogotgame
Rating: R
Word Count: 45,000 Approx.
Summary: Draco Malfoy is every suitor's nightmare. His brazen temper and absolute disregard for the personal safety of others has his father in despair. Enter Harry Potter.
This story is so much fun. It's an adaptation of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, and Draco really honours that title.
After a long line of suitors have come and go, Lucius is really starting to get desperate, and after learning of Harry's interests for Draco, he strikes a deal with him most beneficial to both of them.
And so the courtship starts, and it's hilarious. Draco's "resistance" to the whole thing (aka the epic fits and tantrums he pulls) are legendary, which includes books and furniture destroyed, mostly while aimed at Harry, but Harry takes it like champ; he determinate to tame this Dragon.
But seriously, it's fun, it's funny, and witty. Harry is deliciously devious, with this big heart, and Draco is amazing.
And so very sweet, because of course they fall in love, but it's not all easy when it's time to come clean for Harry, especially if forced to do so by, erm, "evil forces".
The supporting characters are lovely as well, Blaise, Ginny, Andromeda and Lucius are brilliant here.
You'll enjoy it, I know I did. And will leave you with a big smile on your face.
