Title: A Winter's Tale of Blood and Duty
Author:

Rating: R
Word Count: 8,700
Summary: While Draco clings to the tattered remains of his family, Harry attempts to define himself in the post-war world. Disturbing events at Malfoy Manor bring them together.
I love this story because it explores in a different direction the fate of the Malfoys after the war, and so does Harry's.
It's a bit dark, in the sense that Dark things are happening at Malfoy Manor, with Lucius, and so Narcissa asks for Harry's help, who is an Auror in training and so far, being an Auror is not quite what Harry expected at all. There are some unpleasant frictions with his co-workers and superiors.
That's what's dark about it, sort of the way it's written, in a very serious context, if that makes sense. It's mysterious and the right side of chilling, and very mature.
