This story is so, so amazing.

Harry and Draco are Auror partners. In the line of duty Harry is hit by an unknown spell, which doesn't seem to have done permanent damage, but Draco doesn't let it go, and once he finds out the nature of the curse, they realise everything is at stake.

But there is so much more to it than just this plot. Harry and Draco are such complex characters in a way, and very simple in others.

You see, Draco is asexual, and Harry is in love with him, but they both know this about each other, and yet they relationship, friendship is almost the most important thing to them. I don't know how to explain. This story is incredible.

Malfoy lifted his head, his hand covering the scar instead. His nails sunk down into the black marks, hard, his whole hand like a claw. “You have no idea. You have no idea how much I need you.”

Harry arched up under the pain. “I have an idea.”

Malfoy’s voice was still brutal. “If I thought you were the sort to desert me, I would have fucked you just to keep you. I would do anything.”

Yeah, it's incredible from beginning to end. A definite favourite of mine.

It's very powerful and intense. There is a warning for a Major Character Death, but being written as a narration of the happenings, it gives you the distance you need to read it without the pain of the death being too overwhelming.

It's not a happy story, but there's no denying it has some pretty amazing parts, sexy even, and powerful. I can almost hear those bells rining.

This story is so very sexy because the attraction between Harry and Draco is tangible. Since the moment they first met, after all those years, and every time they do, it's inevitable. It's like they are orbiting around each other.

They share this connection, literally, and they don't know what it is, but every time they touch, arousing and addictive. Is it the wands? Is it the life-debts? It's something that pulls them closer until they coming together is unstoppable.

It deals with the Epilogue in this unique fashion, and yep, I love it. Stories like this one is the reason why one loves Epilogue Complaint fics.

Draco is a fire-fighter, who has been attempting, and succeeding in the most dangerous rescues, all this with the help of a little girl, who only Draco can see and hear. When he tells this to his mother, she asks him to talk to Harry, now a therapist.

Of course at first Draco refuses, but after making clear he's not Harry's patient, they start talking, really talking. And it's so good to see them so mature, see them understand each other.

The identity of the little girl and the whole plot of the story, are very interesting and creative.

It's a lovely story about Fate.
