This fic is a little bitter sweet, not because of the ending; the ending is so lovely *thumbs up*. It's everything Draco goes through from the moment he leaves Harry to the moment he comes back into his life.
But of course Harry takes him back, and once he learns everything that Draco has lived, he, well, you know Harry, he's so very protective of Draco, it's just so sweet that way.
