Summary: It's the final battle. Harry's on a warpath to destroy Voldemort, but what he finds is a former school rival long ago lost to the past. A former school rival who's no longer human.
Draco is a Veela, but in his transformation he has lost his memories and his identity. He only recognises Harry, without knowing he's Harry, but as his mate. He protects him, and saves him from Voldemort, enabling Harry to finally destroy him.
But now that battles have been won, what will it be of Draco? This Draco who is not himself any more? How can Harry help him?
This is that story.
This fic was written before HBP, so it follows OotP cannon. It also has an Mpreg sequel: Icarus Rising Easter Egg (PG, 3,500 words).
