Title: Lorelei in the Menagerie
Author:
lee_bella
Rating: NC 17
Word Count: 23,000 Approx.
Summary: "I think my dead son is haunting the manor," says Draco when Harry runs into him in an antique book shop. Driven by yearning and suspicion, Harry offers his help and is drawn into a web of secrets and half-forgotten nightmares.
Warning(s): cannibalism, mentions of torture and miscarriage.
Nothing like a chilling story for Halloween, and this was is incredible.
It has a very intriguing plot. Draco believes his dead child, his unborn dead child is haunting him, for strange things are happening at Malfoy Manor and the woods that surround it. And as Harry volunteers to help him, they discover the truth is more complex than they could ever imagined.
It's very interesting, the twists and turns through the plot, they all fall into place as the mystery unravels, but there's the constant of Harry's feelings for Draco; protectiveness, compassion and love.
I know this fic comes with strong warnings, and I am tagging it as Dark Fic, but it's not a fic you have to be necessarily scared to read, most of these warnings are mentioned, but none in explicit detail. And the style is really, really great.
