Title: Hiding in Plain Sight
Author:
okydoky
Rating: NC 17
Word Count: 23,000 Approx.
Summary: When the pressures of fame become too much, Harry Potter disappears into the Muggle world. However, when a desperate Professor McGonagall begs for his help he’s dragged back to Hogwarts, for a more difficult set of circumstances than he has come across before.
I love the familiar feel of this story. Harry's problem's with the press, his need for privacy, to start over away from all of it. And then the new problems he faces when he comes back to the wizarding world.
The thing is, Harry is tired of being in the spotlight, so he leaves the magical world, but eventually he misses it, and decides to come back when McGonagall asks him to come back to teach at Hogwarts. He does, but using a Glamour, he didn't count with Draco teaching Potions, and he certainly didn't count falling in love with him.
It's really lovely, the way Harry doesn't want to deceive Draco, and how Draco looks at him when he says something Harry-ish, and the bits that make Harry so mad about the press, those are going to make you laugh.
