Summary: To Harry Potter's dismay, his boss seems to think that he's the only one equipped to handle Draco Malfoy and the weird things that follow in his wake. Unfortunately for Harry, dealing with his own reactions to Draco is another matter entirely.


I like this fic because it's not your usual "working together" premise. Draco is an Auror, but he's partnered with Ginny. Harry works for Muggle-Worthy Excuse, which is to say, he has to come up with, well, excuses, every time something magical happens and the Muggles see it. And you know who gives him trouble the most, don't you? Yep, it's Draco. But that's not even his biggest problem. It's the way he reacts to Draco that really bothers him.

I love it because there's UST ahoy. But the title doesn't only refer to Harry job, but to Harry's life (at least that's what I think). Draco pushes Harry, because it's like Harry's given up, not living his life and only giving excuses. But Draco won't let him.

And that's just the beginning. This fic is incredibly amusing, with Draco and his measuring tape (a la Merry Poppins) and all his, well, his sheer Draconess. And you know, Harry has to try every hat on the shop. He has to.

Very funny.

This is almost like a vignette. It's focused on Draco being a prisoner in Azkaban for the murder of Pansy Parkinson, and Harry, against all odds, being the only person trying to help him, even when Draco is broken, nearly beyond help.

It's very painful. But it has a hopeful ending.

I really like this story because it shows how people as different as Harry and Draco come to be together. The sacrifices they make for each other, not just the huge things, but the smaller ones, too. Knowing the other sees them, and appreciate them for what they are.

It's a beautiful established relationship fic, and very balanced with the plot.

Oh right, the plot! The plot is very touching, about this ghost who takes Harry to be friends with his dead son at the bottom of a lake. No, I'm not making justice at all to the plot. Just read it, you're not going to regret it. It's lovely written.

A mystery fic, a la Agatha Christie, but Harry Potter style, with a Ministry official murdered at Harry and Draco's luxurious Cumbrian manor and a lot of suspects and plenty of intrigue.

Very interesting and super fun to read.

Quite possibly my favourite fic from Miss Faithwood.

It starts with Draco's POV. Draco wants Harry, right? He's not even sure what he wants him for, he just know he does. And your heart goes to Draco and you go Awww.

And then Harry POV comes and, oh God, your heart will melt for Harry and will make you go all Aww all over again!

And there's Harry's super secret admirer, which drives Draco crazy, literally, and makes Draco do crazy things. And there's Harry who goes crazy over what Draco does and it's all confusing (for both of them) and it seems nothing is going to be clear.

There's drama, angst, fluff and so, so funny, all wrapped in this perfect package that is this fic.
