Summary: I don't know the boy in the cupboard. I'm not sure that I ever did. Those aren't my memories, aren't my feelings. They belong to someone else. Someone that I'm not sure even existed. It's just a story. Something that people have told others just to make an average person seem more heroic at the end of the tale.
This is such a touching story. It explores a part of Harry that I always found it's gone a bit unnoticed. The abuse and neglect he suffered while he was a child at the hands of the Dursleys.
This is Harry having nightmares about that time, and this is Draco being there for him. This is the way you built a relationship, when, even though you're afraid, you dare to open up to someone else.
Beautiful.
