Word Count: 125,8000
Summary: Harry Potter was not sent to Hogwarts at age 11 as his parents intended. Instead, when an altercation with his uncle turns violent, he is sent to St. Brutus's Secure Centre for Incurably Criminal Boys. But four years later, he has the opportunity to attend Hogwarts, where he learns to live a life he never thought possible for himself. H/D and a bit of mentor-Snape.
Warning(s): Non Magical AU
This is a very dramatic story, about a physically, violently and emotionally abused Harry. How his life was prior to going to Hogwarts, at fifteen, and how he's coping with all the changes. The way Harry is written works very well on the story, because of all those traumas he's suffered, the way distancing himself from other people is how he protects himself as well, and I also loved how very protective Draco is of him.
It's non magical AU, but there are all the familiar faces that we know. It's good, really good, and I'm not ashamed to admit, it made me all teary at parts. ^^
