Life is a Twice Written Scroll by lauren3210

Title: Life is a Twice Written Scroll
Author: [livejournal.com profile] lauren3210
Rating: NC 17
Word Count: 23,000 Approx.
Summary: The new world order hasn't been kind to Draco and his family, and he wishes it could all be different. So does Harry, although not for the same reasons. But as Draco works to fix the mistakes he made in the past, he finds his reasons for doing so changing in a way he never expected.
Warning(s): Elementes of Magical AU, temporary character deaths

This is an adaptation of the movie The Butterfly Effect, but don't worry if you haven't seen the movie, I haven't and the story holds on its own, and it's brilliant.

This is Draco, right after the war, about what him and his family suffer, but you see, a bit into his 8th year he realises his dreams are changing the past, and so he tries it, he tries to change his fate, but in doing this it obviously affects everything. He changes it again and again, never quite managing the happiness he was going for, but don't worry, the ending it lovely. It's very powerful, this story, engaging, hopeful and sweet in many ways.

That one is one of my favourites so far :'D I fell in love with the premise before I even read it, but then I did read it, and it was just so beautifully written ♥

I watched it but I was maybe 17 at the time, I can't remember it at all -- though I vaguely remember thinking it was good. No matter, though. The story is perfect xD

I have been sitting here for so long, unable to believe you actually recced the very first H/D story of mine that people have read, you have no idea. I've been stalking your recs for over a year, and I screamed so loud when I came on here and saw this! Thank you SO MUCH, I was so nervous about taking part in the smoochfest, and this really made me feel so welcome. So, I wrote a companion piece to this story, as a kind of thank you to you and all the other lovely commenters. You don't have to read it, obviously, but it's here http://archiveofourown.org/works/1943646 for if you feel like it.

Just, thank you, so so much, you have no idea what this means to me *hugs*
