Summary: Potter has fame and fortune and posh clothes and all he wants is a simple life. Draco has a flat and a cat and a steady job and all he wants is a complicated life. Which makes you think this story has something exciting like body-swapping, but it doesn’t. Instead it has Indian takeaway and a blue jumper and people wanting a whole lot of what they can’t have, discovering themselves as they discover each other.
Warning(s): dirty talk, verbal humiliation, scar kink, reference to self-harm, mental instability, PTSD, substance abuse (and a few more on the fic post)
This story, this story is amazing. It's not only incredibly hot, there's so much emotion, too.
It shows you deeply the war affected Harry, but it's not only the war, is the way he was raised (kept), too, the way people see him, the way the want to see him, and ultimately the way he seems himself.
And Draco, it's about the way Draco sees Harry too. Because he has his own ideas and preconceptions of how and who Harry is, before he knew him, before he really knew him, and once he starts knowing the real Harry, how these change, how he falls in love, how he comes to need this crazy, insecure, unstable Harry.
Yet, it's about Draco as well. Draco and his own issues, he's own traumas, wishes and dreams left behind.
It's ridiculously hot, but it's mostly about two damaged people, who fit together and gave each other what they need.
