To me vague ending and hopeful ending are the same thing (I know they're not the same thing).

If you ask me, 'does this fic has a happy ending?' I say yes, it does.
If you ask me, 'are they perfectly happy at the end?' Then no, they still have things to talk about, issues to work through, I think. I'm a big fan of explicit HEA myself, and I feel this fic gave me everything to get there.

I hope you read it some day though. It's amazing. :)
