Oh, what happens here, you probably know this because you read the beginning, Draco is blinded by a hex. People can't read his mind or know his thoughts, it's actually the style the author went with, of not having Draco's dialogue marked, but then it's clear which questions he did ask because people answer to them. And all the dialogue from other characters are in italics instead in quotation marks, you see.
Most of the fic goes like that, until Draco gets back his sight and open his eyes and then you get the quotation marks, but this is nearly at the end. :)
It wasn't a problem for me to follow/understand, nor it was a problem for me to read the story like that in this format/style, but I guess I can see why you find it odd. You should give it a try though, because the story is awesome. Maybe takes a bit to get used to, but - at least to me - so worth it. ^^ Now that you reminded me of it, I'm reading it again. XD
